Every day during the whole month of April except Sundays, I will write a post starting with each letter of the alphabet. This year my theme is, in the textile universe, about upcycling, recycling and repurposing. Lots of good easy DIY ideas!

Un sac / A bag
Le furoshiki est une technique japonaise traditionnelle d’emballage en tissu, utilisée pour transporter des vêtements, des cadeaux, le bentō, etc.
A partir d'un carré de tissu, des noeuds noués à différents endroits permettent de le transformer en sac.
Des emballages en tissu tous différents, avec de jolis tissus.
Montrez ici vos réalisations textiles qui commencent par un F : ça peut être le nom d'un quilt, d'un bloc, d'une technique, d'un accessoire de couture, d'un point de broderie, d'un objet fait avec du tissu, tout ce qui a un lien avec l'art textile !
Ces sacs verts remplacent avantageusement les sacs en plastique, et répondent désormais aux préoccupations en matière de déchets et de pollution.
Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese cloth wrapping technique, used to carry clothes, gifts, bentō, etc.
These green bags are a good alternative to plastic bags, and now address waste and pollution concerns.

Le bout de tissu utilisé en emballage peut éviter, après une fête ou un anniversaire de voir des montagnes de papier cadeau jetées à la poubelle. Il peut être gardé après son utilisation, pour être réutilisé en guise de papier cadeau, ou transformé en un autre objet.The piece of fabric used for wrapping can avoid seeing mountains of gift wrap thrown away after a party or birthday. It can be kept after use, to be reused as gift wrap, or transformed into another object.

RépondreSupprimerFabric will be the big theme today -- I used it for mine too! I love the bag idea and even better the fabric wrapped packages. You know both techniques are going into EVERY quilters tool bag for gifts for their quilt friends!

RépondreSupprimerI like the idea of turning a scarf into a bag. I might do that with a scarf I bought in Arezzo, Italy. Right now it just sits on a shelf. And what a wonderful idea to use fabric to wrap gifts!

RépondreSupprimerThose fabric wrapped gifts are so cute. I love that you can reuse it again and again. I save all my ribbons that I use to wrap gifts and reuse them again and again. Everyone knows to just hand me the ribbons when they're done opening presents. I have some ribbon I've been using for years but I never thought to use fabric as my paper.
