#AtoZchallenge2021 and #AtoZchallenge2021Quilt: letter E

Every day during the whole month of April except Sundays, I will write a post starting with each letter of the alphabet. This year my theme is, in the textile universe, about upcycling, recycling and repurposingLots of good easy DIY ideas!

Turn your old towels into something practical, useful and environmentally friendly. Reusable, these "sheets" replace disposable paper towels.

  2. We do use old terry towels for wiping and cleaning though we don't make them look this cute. :D

  6. Terry Cloth is one of my favorite fabrics. Makes me feel so comfortable. I love public bathrooms that give you single wash cloths to dry your hands instead of a yucky air dryer or paper that has been recycled a million times.

  8. I've seen the reusable paper towels before. It's a good idea. Less wasteful.

  9. Great ideas. I never much thought of what to do with worn towels. I think they just get turned into dog towels. I used to use them as Guinea pig flooring in their "front yard" area outside the cages to protect the rug. The reused towels in the photos seem much thinner than my towels. I don't know that mine would work well.

  11. Wonderful, creative ideas... again! I have some towels that need replaced, so now I'll be thinking about ways to use the old ones.

  19. Ha ha, I mostly use old socks instead of paper towels, but these are sure prettier! I have to keep my stash of socks in a bin under the sink, not out on the counter.
