Mon épaule a bien tenu, et je suis sure que c'est un bon exercice de renforcement musculaire 😋😉  J'avais dans l'idée de commencer par coudre chaque pièce appliquée, en piqué libre parce qu'il y a quand même pas mal de courbes serrées. That’s it: I’ve started quilting the quilt for François (happy dance 💃 )! My shoulder held up well, and I’m sure it’s a great muscle-strengthening workout 😋😉 I was thinking of starting by sewing each appliqué piece using free-motion quilting because there are quite a few tight curves. Bof... / Hmm...

C'est assez frustrant et à force d'errer dans ma salle de couture, j'ai fini par recenser les petits projets qui sont en attente dans un coin de mon atelier. J'avais un petit peu oublié ces tops terminés, qui attendent tranquillement leur tour pour être quiltés ! My shoulder is still a little too weak to start quilting François’s quilt. It’s pretty frustrating, and as I wandered around my sewing room, I ended up taking inventory of the small projects that have been sitting in a corner of my studio, waiting to be worked on. The link is at the bottom of this post. ⭐⭐💙⭐⭐ Cette semaine, toute l'action dans ma salle de couture a eu lieu le même jour : ça a commencé par le choix et la coupe du tissu de dos pour le quilt pour François. Ensuite emportée par l'élan, j'ai bâti le quilt et même sélectionné les différents fils pour le quilting. Je suis prête ! This week, all the action in my sewing room took place on the same day: it started with choosing and cutting the backing fabric for François’s quilt. Then, carried away by the momentum, I basted the quilt and even picked out the different threads for the quilting. I’m ready!
