Le 2e gros champignon, que j'appellerai plutôt hélix, est assemblé ! Ca n'a pas été hyper facile, parce qu'il est bien plus haut et plus large que le tapis d'appliqué et la table lumineuse. J'ai quand même fini par coller tous les éléments : les petits, les tordus, les superposés, et tout correspond ! 😀 Là aussi il y a quelques trous qui laissent voir les bandes en arrière-plan. J'ai décidé de l'ordre de positionnement des différentes formes, et desquelles doivent être coupées plus larges pour être glissées sous les autres. Et pour le moment je ne me suis pas trompée !👌 That's it, I'm off to a good start! I've decided on the order in which to arrange the different patches, the ones that need to be cut wider so they can slide under the others. And so far, I haven't made a mistake! 👌 Toutes les pièces adhèrent les unes aux autres, elles sont temporairement collées avec du Steam-a-Seam. J'avais acheté 2 paquets de feuilles de ce thermocollant, qui est repositionnable. C'est très pratique pour ajuster au mieux chaque pièce. The link is at the bottom of this post. ⭐⭐✂️⭐⭐ Le quilt pour François avance lentement mais surement. Je passe beaucoup de temps à réfléchi pour ce quilt et ça en ralenti le processus ! J'essaie de préparer les pièces à appliquer dans l'ordre dans lequel je vais les coller, et ce n'est pas toujours simple ni évident. The quilt for François is coming along slowly but surely.  I spend a lot of time thinking about this quilt, and that slows down the process! I try to prepare the appliqué pieces in the order I’m going to sew them on, and it’s not always easy or straightforward. Le principe est simple : il s'agit de choisir un livre qui dort sur nos étagères et qui n'a pas été ouvert depuis longtemps, et de réaliser un projet de ce livre. Plus le livre est vieux, mieux c'est ! Ca peut aussi être un magazine. The Forgotten Books Challenge is on! The idea is simple: pick a book that’s been sitting on your shelf and  hasn’t been opened in ages, and create a project based on it. The older the book, the better! It can also be a magazine. J'ai choisi un des vieux livres de ma bibliothèque - celui-ci a été publié en 1984 ! - qui m'accompagnera pour le Challenge. Je l'ai depuis 2019 et je n'ai encore fait aucun de ses modèles. Pas de photo de nous 2 confortablement installées à une terrasse de café au soleil, mais voici quelques-uns des petits quilts : Last Saturday, Maribé brought me ten baby quilts! No photo of us relaxing on a sunny café terrace, but here are some of the little quilts: Les centres des blocs crazy sont du même tissu africain que les triangles dans les angles 👆. Voilà un bel usage de tissus à gros motifs ! The centers of the crazy blocks are made from the same African fabric as the triangles in the corners  👆 . What a great way to use fabrics with large prints!
