When I was younger, I used to knit. When I saw this beautiful Silk - Alpaca ball of wool, I decided to knit a neck warmer. Easy pattern by Monique Gascon on Ravelry , but with extra cables.

Blogger's Quilt Festival : Celtique (Small Quilts category)

My second entry in the Blogger's Quilt Festival , Small Quilts Category . I just love this Celtic pattern, and had a lot of joy to sew it. Celtique, 41.3" x 49.2"  We were in San Diego, California, sailing down to Mexico. I made it for my sweatheart's mother, who live in the North of France. You can read about it in previous posts here

Blogger's Quilt Festival : Tifaifai Uru (Appliqué Quilt category)

8 years ago, as I lived in French Polynesia (Tahiti) and one of my sister in the French West Indies (Guadeloupe), I start to sew a traditional tahitian patchwork - a Tifaifai - for her wedding. I choose a breadfruit pattern, because of the link between Tahiti and West Indies, as this veggie came from Polynesia to feed people in Guadeloupe and Martinique. Tifaifai Uru, 106'' x 96'' I was living on a sailboat, and I sew this Tifaifai during a sailing trip from Hawaii to British Columbia. Satin Moon Quilt Shop in Victoria BC was kind enough to let me use their big table in the classroom to be able to flat perfectly the two layers. Well, inside my boat, it was quite small! Inside my sailboat, not so much room! You can read about it in a previous post here . Blogger’s Quilt Festival :: Appliqué Quilts

Ambition 1.0 Pfaff: free motion quilting foot

How to attach a free motion quilting foot onto the Pfaff Ambition 1.0? What a good question! Yes, that also what I said to myself when I wanted to change the sewing foot... I did it once, when I received my new machine , so happy to try every function, but of course, I forgot... So, here is with some photos how to attach a quilting foot. Super easy. First, lower the feed dogs, and disengage the IDT system.
