Of course, don't cut up quilts made in the last century, they could belong to a museum...

RépondreSupprimerWow! That is an amazing collection. I love those tiny birds.
RépondreSupprimerHow adorable are those quilt chicks:)
RépondreSupprimerThat bunting is so much cuter than the usual bought stuff! I haven't got a quilt that's worn out or stained though. I'll have to have a coffee 'accident' with one. :D
RépondreSupprimerThose cute little quilt chicks! All those designer-style quilt shirts and coats are so cool! Would be suitable only for the 'cool' weather I suppose. :)
RépondreSupprimerJe t'avoue que cette mode du vêtements taillés dans des courtepointes me laisse dubitative. À moins d'être un mannequin filiforme, je ne crois pas que ça soit très seyant !
RépondreSupprimerI like the bags and the birds!

I too love the bunting and the little chicks!
RépondreSupprimerAgree on the quilt chicks.
RépondreSupprimerSo many possibilities! Do you wear quilt clothing items youself?
RépondreSupprimerHi Tamara, no I don't, I didn't get so tired of my quilts that I cut them 😏. But I guess it's like wearing a winter jacket.
SupprimerI don't have any quilts but I'm beginning to wish I had! Delightful.
RépondreSupprimerA coat made out of a nice comfy quilt would be wonderful!

Love the clothing. They are so original. Warm too.
RépondreSupprimerThe quilted birds are adorable. The clothing is incredible and clever - I would have never thought of that.
RépondreSupprimerSo many great ideas! The pin cushions stole my attention and my heart!
RépondreSupprimerObvious use of Q for you!
RépondreSupprimerI like all those quilted garments, especially the jackets.
It's too bad my mother got rid of the fire quilt. She had this quilt that was on her bed when our house caught on fire. The firemen chopped a hole through the roof, and one ember burnt a hole through the bedding. Other than the hole (which could have been ignored for a project such as this), the quilt was fine.
RépondreSupprimerI love the tote bag and the little quilted animals. I bought a gorgeous antique quilt at auction (just the top) and decided to use it as artwork. I separated the quilt into three panels -- each the size of a poster frame -- then hung the three framed quilts one above the other in my office at work. I got so many compliments on that quilt -- and now it hangs in my home office. https://mollyscanopy.com/2021/04/questioning-everything-atozchallenge/
RépondreSupprimerI have a quilt I've kept since childhood. It's getting rather ratty looking, but I've kept it all these years because I thought my mother made it. Then I learned she bought it at a rummage sale. hahaha! I still have it though, and I'm thinking it would make a nice bunting because with using smaller pieces, I could avoid the areas that have holes.
RépondreSupprimerThese are all great ideas. I wish I was better at sewing.
RépondreSupprimerMakes me want to take up sewing. Neat clothes. I can see a long housedress made of a flannel quilt...
RépondreSupprimerThe little chicks are so cute. But I would love a bath/night robe with the flowers and orange skirting. It looks so comfortable and warm.

I love the bunting made from old quilt pieces. It's so festive and fun. Weekends In Maine
RépondreSupprimerLovely examples! I need a new quilt for my bed...

So many cute ideas there! I love the bags made with the quilts. I once bought an unusable old quilt at a thrift store. I cut tiny hearts out of it and "appliqued" them to greeting cards.
RépondreSupprimerYou do realise that I have a growing list of projects for over the summer thanks you your posts.
RépondreSupprimerGreat list of things you can make with an old quilt! Very clever. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
RépondreSupprimerWhat great ideas for using our quilts! Thanks for linking up with To-Do Tuesday!
RépondreSupprimerI love the look of all these items, but am not sure I could ever cut up a quilt. I think I could make quilted pieces with scraps specifically for any of these projects ... :) Pat
RépondreSupprimerI love quilted bags and am determined to one day make one. I tried to make a quilt when I was a kid but it was a complete failure and I think that memory is holding me back from giving the bags a go.
