Le lainage appliqué est une technique qui diffère de l'appliqué classique : la coupe est à bord franc, et l'appliqué à petits points facilite l'application.
Wool appliqué is a different technique than classic appliqué: there is no seam allowance, and the small appliqué stitches make the process easier.

I tried wool applique and it is easiest applique I have tried - I don't know why I do not do more of it
RépondreSupprimerOh I love these. So colorful. So many designs. I have seen pillows and table runners using this technique at craft shows, but usually the colors have been drab in keeping with a primitive look that has been popular where I live.
RépondreSupprimerYes, I don't know why, wool is often associate with dull colors
SupprimerI think I found my new favorite style, thank you

You're welcome, Zalka ;))
SupprimerThese are so beautiful. I have never done any applique. At one time I was given a big supply of wool for making quilts, but they were all grays and browns and I never did anything with them.

Maybe adding some bright colors will give you more inspiration?
SupprimerI love that Round the Garden. They're all beautiful. The most I've done in wool applique is a paper weight.
RépondreSupprimerThis is mind-blowing! What array of colors! Wow!
RépondreSupprimerWow! The intricacy of the designs and the bold colors make this art form totally spectacular!
RépondreSupprimerWere they using blanket stitch for those?
RépondreSupprimerFor most of the shapes, but not all of them: backstitches and strait stitches, zigzag, knots, and other embroidery stitches are used too
SupprimerI love the look and texture of wool applique. These are so intricate!
