Mes quilts météo sont des projets au long cours, et je couds une semaine de temps en temps.

Couture sur papier, pour représenter chaque jour sur une bande horizontale : d'abord la température minimale, puis au centre la couleur du ciel (neige, couvert, soleil, pluie), et enfin la température maximale.

7 jours avec une bande centrale dans un sens, les 7 jours suivants la bande centrale dans l'autre sens.

Je fais 2 quilts en parallèle, la bande à gauche représente les températures relevées en Savoie, celle de droite à Montpellier. Je présentais le projet avec l'échelle de températures ici.

Voici les 3 premières semaines d'avril :

My temperature quilts are long-term projects, and I sew a week from time to time.

Foundation paper piecing, to represent each day on a horizontal strip: first the minimum temperature, then in the center the color of the sky (snow, overcast, sun, rain), and finally the maximum temperature.

7 days with a central strip in one direction, the next 7 days with the central strip in the other direction.

I'm making 2 quilts in parallel, the band on the left representing temperatures in Savoie (French Alps), the one on the right in Montpellier (South of France, near the sea). I presented the project with the temperature scale here.

Here are the first 3 weeks of April:

Je continue à coudre à la main les manchons sur tous mes quilts, en 2 parties s'ils sont larges, pour pouvoir accrocher la barre au milieu en plus des côtés. J'explique ici ma façon de procéder.

I still hand-sew the sleeves on all my quilts, in 2 parts if they're large, so I can hang the bar in the middle in addition to the sides. I explain here how I do it.

Voilà le dernier quilt de taille normale, il me restera ensuite 5 ou 6 minis et très petits. J'ai déjà le tout petit cintre pour les accrocher 😊

Here's the last full-size quilt, then I'll have 5 or 6 minis and very small ones left. I've already got the tiny hanger to hang them on 😊

Stats de la semaine :

🎯 Mon objectif est de coudre au moins 15 minutes, trois fois par semaine, et je participe ainsi à "Stitching Stuff", organisé par Kate.

🠞 Cette semaine 49, période du samedi 2 au vendredi 8 décembre, j'ai atteint mon objectif ! Ces manchons à coudre à la main sont bien pratiques, ça me fait un petit ouvrage toujours disponible, couture tranquille et sans réfléchir. La fin de période (et d'année) est difficile, les vacances se font attendre ! Allez courage, plus que 2 semaines... 😷😴

🎯 My goal is to sew for at least 15 minutes, three times a week, so I take part in "Stitching Stuff", hosted by Kate.

🠞 This week #49, from Saturday, December 2 to Friday, December 8, I've reached my goal! These hand-sewn hanging sleeves come in very handy, as they give me a little piece of work that's always at hand, so I can do slow stitching, without having to think about it. The end of the period (and of the year) is difficult, and vacations are just around the corner! Come on, cheer up, only 2 weeks to go... 😷😴
