Isn't this one adorable? Hand-quilted around the butterflies with pink panties.
The apron is finished! Many of you noticed the towel to wipe your hands hanging there - it’s a really handy accessory! For each apron (my sister has two, my mom has two, and my older sister has one), I added a second towel as a spare. They all have snaps so they are easy to detach.
For this one, the towel needs to be positioned a little less to the side, so I’ll adjust it on-site after the recipient tries it on 😋

Last Saturday, Maribé brought me ten baby quilts! No photo of us relaxing on a sunny café terrace, but here are some of the little quilts:

The centers of the crazy blocks are made from the same African fabric as the triangles in the corners 👆. What a great way to use fabrics with large prints!
L'inscription signifie "Que notre amour continue d'apporter bonheur et paix" et Maribé a pris soin de l'écrire sur une bande sur le côté qui pourra ensuite être retirée.

The inscription reads, "May our love continue to bring happiness and peace" and Maribé took care to write it on a strip on the side that can be removed later.

C'est la 2e fois que j'organise ce challenge, qui fait suite au blog hop organisé jusqu'en 2024 par Beaquilter. Un "blog hop" est ouvert aux auteurs d'un blog et ceux qui souhaitent participer s'inscrivent, pour publier leur quilt terminé le jour qui leur est attribué par l'organisateur. Cela exclut ceux qui n'ont pas de blog, c'est pour cela que j'ai proposé cette version "tout public", avec l'accord de Bea évidemment. Il y a un groupe Facebook dédié, mais si vous participez vous êtes les bienvenus pour partager aussi l'avancée ici tous les samedis, sur la link party Patchwork & Quilts !
Le challenge commence le 1er mai 📖
This is the second time I’ve organized this challenge, which follows the blog hop organized by Beaquilter through 2024. A "blog hop" is open to bloggers, those who wish to participate sign up to post their finished quilt on the day assigned to them by the organizer. This excludes those who don’t have a blog, which is why I proposed this "open to all" version - with Bea’s approval, of course. There’s a dedicated Facebook group, but if you are participating, you’re welcome to share your progress here every Saturday at the Patchwork & Quilts link party!

🎯 Je garde le même objectif cette année : faire de la couture deux jours par semaine, au moins 15 minutes à chaque fois. Je participe ainsi à "Stitching Stuff", organisé par Kate. C’est un rythme qui me semble raisonnable et qui s’adapte bien à mon travail, aux entraînements sportifs et aux imprévus du quotidien.
Si j'en ai l'occasion, je ferais une liste de priorités à réaliser d'ici la semaine prochaine, et participer ainsi à "To Do Tuesday" organisé par Carol.
🚩⏩ Cette semaine j'ai cousu ④ jours !
Le tablier est terminé ! Vous avez été nombreuses à remarquer le torchon accroché, c'est un accessoire bien pratique pour s'essuyer les mains ! Pour chaque tablier (ma soeur en a deux, ma mère aussi, ma soeur aînée, un) j'ai ajouté un 2e torchon de rechange. Ils ont tous des pressions pour les détacher facilement.
Pour celui-ci, le torchon a besoin d'être un peu moins sur le côté, je vais donc l'installer sur place après essayage par la récipiendaire 😋
Past week's numbers and projections for the coming week:
🎯 I'm sticking with the same goal this year: sewing two days a week, for at least 15 minutes each time. I'm taking part in "Stitching Stuff" organized by Kate. It's a pace that seems reasonable to me and fits in well with my work, sports training, and the unexpected events of everyday life.
If I get the chance, I’ll make a list of priorities to tackle by next week, and that way take part in "To Do Tuesday" organized by Carol. 🚩⏩ This week I sewed ④ days!
