Voici Focus ! Je trouve que ce nom lui va bien : en lien avec le thème des tissus et avec le destinataire, un bébé qui aura ainsi de quoi fixer son regard et se concentrer peu à peu sur les formes et les couleurs.

Introducing Focus! I think this name suits it well: in keeping with the theme of the fabrics and with the recipient, a baby who will have something to focus on and gradually concentrate on shapes and colors.

Cette collection de tissus, Sunshine Inn de Liza Flower, est un ensemble de fat quarters qui m'avait été offert par Jody de Gingerberry Quilts (je les présentais dans cet article). J'adore ce thème Polaroïd et fleurs des champs ! 

Ca faisait un moment que je voulais faire le modèle Nilsa de Preeti (de Sew Preeti Quilts) en format BB quilt, et ces tissus m'ont paru parfaits pour cette occasion ! Il n'y a que le blanc faux uni qui ne fait pas partie de cette collection de tissus.

This fabric collection, Sunshine Inn by Liza Flower, is a set of fat quarters gifted to me by Jody of Gingerberry Quilts (I featured them in this post). I love this Polaroid and Wildflowers theme!
I'd been wanting to make Preeti's Nilsa pattern (from Sew Preeti Quilts) in Baby quilt size for a while, and these fabrics seemed perfect for the occasion! Only the faux plain white is not part of this fabric collection.

Le top a été assez vite terminé (les modèles de Preeti sont bien écrits et faciles à suivre), il ne restait plus que le quilting à faire au retour des vacances. La canicule n'aidant pas, j'ai attendu un jour moins chaud !

Quilting dans les coutures autour des diagonales et dans les "rubans" blancs. Un point serpentin au centre des blocs colorés, tout ça avec un molleton épais, ça donne un résultat douillet !

The top was finished fairly quickly (Preeti's patterns are well written and easy to follow), so all that was left was the quilting to do when I got back from vacation. The heatwave didn't help, so I waited for a cooler day!
Quilting in-the-ditch around the diagonals and in the white “ribbons”. A serpentine stitch in the center of the colored blocks, all with thick batting, gives a cozy result!

Dernière étape : la bande de finition. J'ai utilisé toutes les chutes de ces tissus, coupées en bandes d'un peu plus de 6 cm de large et cousues bout à bout.

Last step: the binding. All the scraps of these fabrics were used, cut into 2.5''-wide strips, and sewn end-to-end.

La ligne serpentine est un clin d'oeil au point de quilting favori de Preeti 😉

La bande de finition est entièrement cousue à la machine, toujours depuis le devant.

The entire binding is machine-sewn from the front.

Je suis contente de ce petit quilt joyeux et douillet ! 

Il va rejoindre la pile des BB quilts à offrir à l'unité néonat de l'hôpital 👶

I'm so happy with this cheerful and cozy little quilt!

It will join the pile of Baby quilts to be donated to the hospital's neonatal unit 👶
