Pour une 1ère visite au Carrefour Européen du Patchwork à Ste-Marie-aux-Mines, je n'ai pas été déçue ! It was my very first visit to the European Meeting Patchwork, to Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines (France), and I'm not disappointed! Que du bonheur : de belles rencontres notamment sur le stand France Patchwork (je vous en dirais plus plus tard !) à Lièpvre I'm so happy: beautiful meetings particularly on the France Patchwork place (I would tell more later!), in Lièpvre (France) Mais aussi de très belles expositions. Artist Flora Joy achieves an effect with her quilt "Frame of Mind" that won the Viewer's Choice Award at the Houston Quilt Show 2014.

My second entry in the Blogger's Quilt Festival , Small Quilts Category . I just love this Celtic pattern, and had a lot of joy to sew it. Celtique, 41.3" x 49.2"  We were in San Diego, California, sailing down to Mexico. I made it for my sweatheart's mother, who live in the North of France. You can read about it in previous posts here

8 years ago, as I lived in French Polynesia (Tahiti) and one of my sister in the French West Indies (Guadeloupe), I start to sew a traditional tahitian patchwork - a Tifaifai - for her wedding. I choose a breadfruit pattern, because of the link between Tahiti and West Indies, as this veggie came from Polynesia to feed people in Guadeloupe and Martinique. Tifaifai Uru, 106'' x 96'' I was living on a sailboat, and I sew this Tifaifai during a sailing trip from Hawaii to British Columbia. Satin Moon Quilt Shop in Victoria BC was kind enough to let me use their big table in the classroom to be able to flat perfectly the two layers. Well, inside my boat, it was quite small!
