Après l'éléphant et les oreilles de lapin, j'ai commencé à préparer une guirlande de fanions pour un des 2 tapis d'éveil que j'ai prévu de faire en vue des deux futures naissances dans la famille.
After the elephant and bunny ears, I started making a bunting garland for one of the two play mats I plan to make for the two future births in the family.
So here are the flags:
Ce sont des triangles de 10 cm de long avec une base de 9 cm. Les tailles des fanions semblent différentes mais c'est bien le même patron qui a été utilisé pour chacun d'eux !
Among the free ones is Kat's from Scrapbox Quilts, A Quilters Cove. Kat invites us to create a RSC Neighborhood quilt:

Voici donc les fanions :
After the elephant and bunny ears, I started making a bunting garland for one of the two play mats I plan to make for the two future births in the family.
So here are the flags:
Pour l'instant ils sont épinglés au mur tels quels, ils seront ensuite reliés par un biais que je ferais soit avec le tissu girafes qui est en dessous, soit un tissu noir.
They are triangles measuring 10 cm long (4'') with a base of 9 cm (3.5''). The sizes of the pennants appear to be different, but the same pattern was used for each one! For now, they are pinned to the design wall as they are, but they will then be connected by a bias that I will make either with the giraffe fabric underneath or with black fabric.
De gauche à droite, on retrouve les tissus utilisés pour le tapis d'éveil :
minky, polaire, velours 👆
tissu coton, tissu éponge, satin 👇
From left to right, here are the fabrics used for the play mat:
minky, fleece, velvet 👆
cotton fabric, terry cloth, satin 👇
Pour l'instant chaque fanion a été cousu et surpiqué, sans rien à l'intérieur. Est-ce que j'ajouterais du papier bruissant dans certains ? Du molleton ? A réfléchir 😋
For now, each flag has been sewn and topstitched, with nothing inside. Should I add some crinkly paper to some of them? Some batting? Something to think about 😋

Reprise de ma veille des quilt alongs et autres blocs du mois proposés en ligne en 2026. La semaine dernière j'en ai repéré plusieurs, certains gratuits, d'autres payants. Ceux-là sont alors indiqués par le signe💲que je note après le nom et nécessitent d'acheter le patron ou de payer l'inscription.

🎯 Je garde le même objectif cette année : faire de la couture deux jours par semaine, au moins 15 minutes à chaque fois. Je participe ainsi à "Stitching Stuff", organisé par Kate.
C’est un rythme qui me semble raisonnable et qui s’adapte bien à mon travail, aux entraînements sportifs et aux imprévus du quotidien. Toute journée supplémentaire sera du bonus !
🚩⏩ Cette semaine j'ai cousu ⓪ jour.
Je suis tout juste de retour à la maison après les fêtes, mais la couture va bientôt reprendre ! La guirlande de fanions a été commencée avant de partir en vacances 😋
Past week's numbers:
🎯 I'm sticking with the same goal this year: sewing two days a week, for at least 15 minutes each time. I'm taking part in "Stitching Stuff" organized by Kate. It's a pace that seems reasonable to me and fits in well with my work, sports training, and the unexpected events of everyday life. Any extra days will be a bonus!
