Bonne année les amies, et bienvenue ici !
Happy new year friends, and welcome here!

⭐⭐🧵⭐⭐

New year, new projects!
Without forgetting those in progress, and first, my Vahine. I tested the sashings to spread the blocks a bit, then it will be a row by row assembly:
1/2'' strips, between the 5 1/2'' blocks, just the little separation I wanted.

Ensuite il y a les nouveaux projets :
Next, the new projects:

This year, I will make 2 temperature quilts: one for my parents who live in the Alps at 1200 m altitude, and one for us who are in the South of France, near the sea. Two very different climates, but with climate change, there may not be so much difference between us... The quilt will show!

The grid is ready and filled for this first week of January. It will be necessary to be constant throughout the year not to miss any day! In addition to the minimum and maximum temperatures, I will include the weather: sunny, overcast, rainy, snowy, and maybe windy. I'll also try to sew the blocks at the end of each week so I don't get behind, and so I don't mix it up.

A suivre 😉

And also - because why stick to only 2 projects, right? - I'm going to participate in Cécile and Corinne's QAL, on the theme of houses. Here is my fabric selection. To know the current challenges, see the 2023 list.
I'm going to make a village in Provence. To be continued 😉

  1. I am familiar with temperature quilts, but haven't been aware of adding other elements to the quilt, such as cloudy, windy and sunny. It will be fascinating watching your two quilts evolve.

  9. Vahine is coming along nicely. And so many fun projects coming up. I’ve been wanting to make a temperature quilt, but didn’t get organized for this year. I’ll be interested to see the difference between your quilt and your parent’s quilt.
