Ce mois-ci, j'ai avancé dans le #dashingcorianderquilts : This month, I made some additional blocks for the #dashingcorianderquilts : Ce sont les mêmes couleurs que pour le RSC ! Avec ces blocs verts, voilà un coin de mon mur pour le moment : Same color as for Rainbow Scrap Challenge ! With these green blocks, here is a part of my quilt design wall so far: Il manque un peu de jaune-orange, ce seront les prochaines couleurs ! Une première bordure : A first pieced border: Elle a été faite avec la méthode magique de coupe de demi-triangles  ! It was made using the Magic 8 HST cutting method ! Maintenant il reste à faire la 2ème. Pour rappeler le motif et la couleur du centre, cette bordure aura des pointes turquoises, sur fond bleu foncé. Now I have to sew the second one. Because the star center is made of turquoise points, the border will match the shape, and the color, on a dark blue background. En avant les blocs ! Etoiles et Baratte en bleu, et en violet-rose. Let's show the blocks! Sawtooth Stars and Churn Dash blocks, in blue fabrics, purple and pink. Coudre plusieurs blocs identiques, ce n'est pas ce que je préfère dans le patchwork. Mais parfois il faut le faire ! I don't really like sewing a lot of identical blocks, but now I have to. Je veux faire un bloc carré, avec 2 triangles. Simple, me direz-vous... Oui, mais en coudre 32, là ça devient un peu pénible ! I want to sew a square block, with two triangles. Easy, you might say... Yes, but sewing 32 of them, it's becoming a little bit painful for me! Donc, j'ai cherché, et trouvé LA solution ! ( ici , en anglais) So, I searched and found THE solution! ( here ) Tout simple : 2 carrés sont cousus ensemble endroit contre endroit en double diagonale, puis coupés entre ces 2 coutures. On obtient ainsi 2 carrés faits de 2 triangles ! Easy: two squares are sewn together twice diagonally, then cut apart. The pair produce two identical HSTs (Half Square Triangles). Les calculs sont faciles : la taille du bloc fini + 2,22 cm Easy maths: f

J'ai profité d'une semaine de vacances pour faire 2 blocs d'un coup pour le Rainbow Scrap Challenge . Des nichoirs bien sûr ! I took advantage of a week of holidays to sew two blocks all at once for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge . Birdhouses of course! Des tissus un peu vert acide... It's a bit acid... Des restes de tissus du Petit Chaperon Rouge . Scraps from the Little Red Ridding Hood quilt. J'adore cette couleur vert tendre, ça fait très printemps, exactement ce dont j'ai besoin en cette saison !! I love this color, so spring time, exactly what I need at this time of the year! La couleur du mois pour le RSC 2018 a été annoncé : du vert ! Allez au boulot... Well, not everything is green, but this is the new color of the month for the RSC! Lime and yellow green... hmmmm, nice color!

Ce mois-ci, j'ai bien envie de reprendre Véga... This month, I plan to bring out Véga... Ce top est le quilt mystère 2010 de France Patchwork. Un peu laissé de côté ! (Plus d'infos sur ce quilt ici ) This top is the France Patchwork's 2010 Mystery Quilt (more about this quilt here ) Je vais étudier les possibilités de bordures et de finition, pour qu'il sorte enfin de son état d'encours ! My goal for March is to design and audition borders, and maybe even sew one! J'avais prévu d'avancer dans mes 2 projets ce mois : My goal for February was to make more blocks for my two works-in-progress: Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2018 Mon objectif était de faire 3 voire 4 blocs avec les chutes de tissu violet et mauve. Les voilà : My plans were to make at least 3 or 4 blocks using scraps from my purple and lavender stash. Un bloc oiseaux pour compléter les 3 blocs violets du Rainbow Scrap Challenge : I made a bird block to add to the three RSC purple Birdhouse log cabins: C'est un modèle gratuit de Nakayoshi , Oiseau sur un fi l. Je l'ai juste doublé pour avoir 2 oiseaux. It's a free pattern from Nakayoshi, Bird on wire . I just duplicate the bird for a couple. Pour le placement des couleurs, je me suis inspirée de ces jolis oiseaux violets, trouvés sur Pinterest : For the color placement, I get inspired by these pictures of cute purple birds found on Pinterest: Le premier est nommé purple Snow Princess Victoria finch par celui qui l'a épinglé, et le second est un mâle  Violet Backed Starling .
