La semaine dernière, je vous donnais rendez-vous pour vérifier si j'avais tenu le rythme et cousu les 7 étoiles prévues. Voilà toutes mes étoiles à ce jour :
Last week I said let's meet up at the end of the week to see if I kept up the pace and sewed the seven stars I had planned. Here are all my stars today:
Well, yes, you can see six stars, but not all of them count in the seven I planned to make! In fact, I only made three this week: one orange star and two blue ones.
It's a slower pace than I expected, but that's fine with me. My goal is to sew ten stars in total. So I'm halfway there, which is already good! In Tahitian, they say 'haere maru, haere papu', meaning slowly but surely 🐢🐌 (if you want to hear how it's pronounced, click here) 😋
These stars are small, but I really enjoy sewing them! All the pieces were cut out last week, so now I just have to assemble them. It's quite a puzzle to place the patterns on the background fabric: between the bear, the teepee, the feathers, and other designs, each star eventually finds its place.
Voilà la boîte qui contient toutes les petites pièces : pour chaque étoile il faut un carré central de 2 ½'', 8 petits carrés de couleur de 1'', 4 petits carrés de 1'' de la couleur du fond avec 4 rectangles de 1'' par 2 ½''.

Alors oui, vous en voyez bien 6, mais toutes ne comptent pas dans les 7 prévues ! En réalité je n'en ai fait que 3 cette semaine : une étoile orange, et les 2 bleues.
Un rythme plus tranquille que prévu, mais ça me va. Mon objectif est de coudre 10 étoiles au total. Je suis donc à mi-parcours, ce qui est déjà bien ! En tahitien on dit "haere maru, haere papu", ce qui veut dire lentement mais sûrement 🐢🐌 (si vous voulez entendre la prononciation, c'est ici) 😋

Ces étoiles sont petites mais j'aime vraiment les coudre ! Toutes les pièces ont été coupées la semaine dernières, il me reste à les assembler. C'est tout un jeu de placement de motif avec le tissu de fond : entre l'ours, le tipi, les plumes et autres dessins, chaque étoile fini par trouver sa place.

Remarquez la boîte : les chocolats n'y sont plus depuis bien longtemps 😇. Qui a dit qu'on ne pouvait pas recycler avec style ? 😂

Another very busy week, but everything is going well at work for now.I have resumed physical therapy twice a week, as my shoulder is still very painful. I have an appointment with the rheumatologist on Tuesday, and I hope we can find a solution to this problem! 🩹

🎯 J'ai modifié mon objectif cette année : je me fixe deux jours de couture par semaine, pendant au moins 15 minutes, et je participe à "Stitching Stuff", organisé par Kate. C'est moins ambitieux que les 3 jours de l'an passé, mais c'est bien plus raisonnable et surtout réaliste. Toute journée supplémentaire sera du bonus !
🠞🠞 Cette semaine j'ai cousu ③ jours.
Semaine très chargée encore, mais tout se passe bien au travail pour le moment.
J'ai repris les séances de kiné deux fois par semaine, l'épaule est toujours très douloureuse. J'ai rendez-vous avec le rhumatologue mardi, j'espère bien qu'on trouvera une issue à ce problème ! 🩹

🎯 I've modified my goal this year: I'm setting myself two days of sewing a week, for at least 15 minutes, and I'm taking part in "Stitching Stuff", organized by Kate. It's not as ambitious as last year's 3 days, but it's much more reasonable and, above all, realistic. Any extra day will be a bonus!
