Busy and tiring week, my sewing time is not at its best! Only three strips have been added to the sky, and they're still pinned:
Ma mission du week-end est de coudre, pour chaque bande, tous les morceaux de tissu les uns aux autres en une longue bande de 170 cm de long (67''). Puis assembler les nouvelles bandes aux précédentes.

Semaine chargée et fatigante, mon temps de couture n'est pas au top ! Seules 3 bandes ont été ajoutées au ciel, et elles sont encore épinglées :
My weekend mission is to sew all the scraps and larger pieces together into a 67" long (170 cm) strip for each strip. Then, I will join the new strips to the previous one.
J'ai reçu le tapis en silicone commandé la semaine dernière ! Il est résistant à la chaleur jusqu'à 260 °C et permet de faire de l'appliqué collé : le modèle est glissé sous le tapis transparent, et il suffit ensuite de positionner sur le tapis les formes découpées et les coller au fer. J'aurais adorer l'avoir quand j'ai fait Jardin de corail !
I received the silicone mat I ordered last week! It's heat-resistant up to 260°C and is perfect to make fused appliqué: the pattern is slid under the transparent mat, and then all you have to do is position the cut-out shapes on the mat and glue them with an iron. I would have loved to have had this when I made Jardin de corail!
Bonus: it's the same color as my sewing machine 😊

🎯 J'ai modifié mon objectif cette année : je me fixe deux jours de couture par semaine, pendant au moins 15 minutes, et je participe à "Stitching Stuff", organisé par Kate. C'est moins ambitieux que les 3 jours de l'an passé, mais c'est bien plus raisonnable et surtout réaliste. Toute journée supplémentaire sera du bonus !
🠞 Cette semaine j'ai cousu ① jour. Les relations conflictuelles au travail ne sont pas encore terminées, mais elles s'arrangent et j'ai bon espoir que ça finisse par être vivable. Cette semaine a été bien perturbée aussi par l'hospitalisation de ma soeur, sans encore savoir de quoi il s'agit.
This week's numbers:
🎯 I've modified my goal this year: I'm setting myself two days of sewing a week, for at least 15 minutes, and I'm taking part in "Stitching Stuff", organized by Kate. It's not as ambitious as last year's 3 days, but it's much more reasonable and, above all, realistic. Any extra day will be a bonus!
🠞 This week I sewed ① day. Conflicting relationships at work aren't over yet, but they're getting better and I'm hopeful that things will eventually be livable. This week has also been disturbed by my sister's hospitalization, although we still don't know what it's all about.
