Goals for the new year!

Yvonne de Quilting JetGirl organise sa #2020PlanningParty, qui permet de réfléchir à la façon dont l’année s’est déroulée, et planifier des (bonnes ?) résolutions pour 2020.

Yvonne at Quilting JetGirl is hosting her #2020PlanningParty, a time to pause to reflect on how the year has gone, and look ahead to (good?) resolutions for 2020.

J’ai fait quelques quilts au cours de cette dernière année, que j’ai détaillé dans ce billet de rétrospective, et j’ai des plans pour 2020 !

I got a lot done this past year, which I have detailled in this retrospective post, and I have some plans for 2020!

• En-cours / UFOs WIP

Tout d'abord, terminer les en-cours (j'ai dit que c'était de bonnes résolutions !). Comme Rainbow, Santa in the woods, et quelques autres 😉

First of all, finish the unfinished projects work in progress (I said they were good resolutions!). Like Rainbow, Santa in the Woods, and a few others 😉

• Nouveaux projets / Quilts I want to make

J'ai plein de projets en tête, des grands, des plus petits, certains sont même déjà commencés 😂. Ils seront pour offrir, ou pour exposer. Et surtout, ils doivent être faits avec mon stock de tissus (dans la mesure du possible !).

I have many quilt projects in mind, big ones, smaller ones, and some of them are already started 😂. They are meant to be offered, or for exhibitions. And most importantly, they have to be made using my stash (whenever possible!).

• Apprendre et réfléchir / Learning and searching

En 2019, j'ai participé au Challenge A à Z, et j'ai bien aimé l'expérience ! A renouveler, donc ? Pourquoi pas, c'est un bon exercice de réflexion et de recherche 🤔. J'ai envie aussi de tester de nouvelles techniques de couture, de sortir de ma zone de confort.

In 2019, I took part in the A to Z Challenge, and I liked the experience! To be renewed, so? Why not, it was a good exercise for reflection and research 🤔. I also want to test new quilting and sewing techniques, to get out of my comfort zone.

• Soigner et entretenir / Caring and maintaining

J'ai tendance à négliger ma machine à coudre. Bonne résolution : la nettoyer plus souvent, changer d'aiguille régulièrement, prendre soin d'elle ! 😍

I tend to neglect my sewing machine. Good resolution: clean it more often, change needles regularly, take care of it! 😍
