My mini quilt for Notre-Dame is achieved.
Beaucoup de fils à rentrer : pour stabiliser le centre, j'ai quilté des formes par-ci par-là, avant de penser à un quilting en arc de cercles, couvrant.
J'ai quilté avec du fil coton en canette, et du fil nylon invisible couleur fumée sur le dessus.
A lot of threads to bury: to stabilize the center, I quilted shapes here and there, before thinking of an overall quilting, using a circle pattern.
I quilted with cotton in the bobbin, and invisible nylon thread on top.
Mon projet était de faire un livre ouvert, il y a donc un trait vertical fait de plusieurs allers-retours avec du fil gris pour marquer la ligne de démarcation des "pages" gauche et droite. On ne voit ici que la page droite, la gauche est tout juste esquissée. Il y a bien sûr l'incontournable ruban marque-page.
La bande de finition, marron comme la couverture d'un livre ancien, ne couvre que 3 côtés du quilt. Le dernier est terminé en facing.

My project was to make an open book, so there is a vertical line made of several back and forth with grey thread to mark the line between the left "page" and the right one. You can only see here the right page, the left is just sketched. Of course, there is the unavoidable bookmarking ribbon.
The binding, brown as the cover of an old book, covers only three sides of the quilt. The last one is finished on facing.
