C'est l'été, la mer est belle, alors pourquoi ne pas coudre un petit banc de poissons ? Voici un bloc pour le projet 100e BB Quilt.
It's summer, the ocean looks beautiful, so why not sew a little school of fish? Here's a block for the 100th Baby Quilt project.
Three little fish made from a beautiful fabric - the colors don’t show up at all in the photo; they’re much softer in real life. After making the fish, I struggled a bit with the measurements for the strips to add around them, but I really enjoyed putting it all together! Once the fish were roughly positioned, I used the leftover strip of white fabric to fill in the gaps: one piece in front of one fish, another behind it, and the rest underneath the third. The rest was complete impro! The block measures 6'' x 6'', seam allowances not included.

No sewing this week, but plenty of time spent with family. The mountain air is really refreshing, especially at an altitude of 3,842 meters (12,602 ft) 😋

Trois petits poissons dans un très beau tissu, dont les couleurs ne rendent pas du tout sur la photo : elles sont beaucoup plus douces en vrai. Après avoir fait les poissons, j'ai un peu galéré avec les mesures des bandes à ajouter autour, mais la construction m'a bien plu ! Une fois les poissons approximativement positionnés, j'ai utilisé le reste d'une bande de tissu blanc pour combler les trous : un morceau devant un poisson, un autre derrière, le reste en-dessous du 3e. La suite s'est faite en totale improvisation ! Le bloc fait 15 cm x 15 cm, sans les marges de couture.

Stats de la semaine écoulée, et projection pour la suivante :
🎯 Je garde le même objectif cette année : faire de la couture deux jours par semaine, au moins 15 minutes à chaque fois. Je participe ainsi à "Stitching Stuff", organisé par Kate. C’est un rythme qui me semble raisonnable et qui s’adapte bien à mon travail, aux entraînements sportifs et aux imprévus du quotidien.
Si j'en ai l'occasion, je ferais une liste de priorités à réaliser d'ici la semaine prochaine, et participer ainsi à "To Do Tuesday" organisé par Carol.
🚩⏩ Cette semaine j'ai cousu ⓪ jour.
Pas de couture cette semaine, mais du temps passé en famille. L'air des montagnes est bien frais, surtout à 3 842 m d'altitude 😋

Past week's numbers and projections for the coming week:
🎯 I'm sticking with the same goal this year: sewing two days a week, for at least 15 minutes each time. I'm taking part in "Stitching Stuff" organized by Kate. It's a pace that seems reasonable to me and fits in well with my work, sports training, and the unexpected events of everyday life.
If I get the chance, I’ll make a list of priorities to tackle by next week, and that way take part in "To Do Tuesday" organized by Carol. 🚩⏩ This week I sewed ⓪ day.
