Ce sera un motif en spirale, ça fait un moment que j'en vois sur Internet, et j'aime bien le rendu. Et pour mon quilt tout en pointes, ce sera un bon motif pour arrondir et adoucir un peu tout ça.
Je suis partie avec du fil gris bleuté en bobine, et blanc en canette puisque le tissu de dos est majoritairement blanc.
It will be a spiral quilting design, I’ve been seeing it on the Internet for a while, and I like the effect. And for my quilt all in points, it will be a good pattern to round and soften it a little.I chose a blue grey thread in spool, and white in bobbin since the backing is mostly white.
Do not forget the guide that goes well, and that keeps the same spacing between two spirals. Here I chose 3/4 inch (a little less than 2 cm).

Réglage de la machine, je commence par des petits points : 1.5 au tout début pour le premier cercle puis 2.0 et 2.5 quand la spirale s'élargit.
Setting the machine, I start with small points: 1.5 at the very beginning for the first circle then 2.0 and 2.5 when the spiral widens.
Vitesse minimale, je commence point par point au début : un point + une rotation, un point + une rotation... oui c'est un peu long à démarrer !
Minimum speed, I start point by point at the beginning: a point + a rotation, a point + a rotation... yes it’s a bit long to start!
Ne pas oublier la tige qui va bien, et qui permet de garder le même espacement entre 2 spirales. Ici j'ai choisi 3/4 d'inch (un peu moins de 2 cm).
Le début est un peu compliqué, malgré le pied transparent je ne voyais pas bien le cercle... qui du coup n'est pas rond.
C'est un quilting assez sympa à faire, les 6 ou 7 premières spirales demandent beaucoup de concentration et de manipulation constante du pied de la machine (le relever tous les 2-3 points pour pivoter légèrement) et du quilt (ça pour tourner, il tourne !), mais ensuite ce n'est que du bonheur !
The beginning is a bit complicated, despite the transparent foot I didn't see well the circle... which therefore is not round.
It's a fun quilting to make, the first 6 or 7 spirals require a lot of concentration and constant handling of the walking foot (lift every 2-3 points to rotate slightly) and of the quilt (it turns a lot!), but then it’s only happiness!
