Phew, work has taken up all my energy and free time this week... and it’s not going to get any better until early July. So, naturally, my sewing time has suffered. I did manage to redo the appliqué pieces for the rose, though 😊

Pffff, le travail m'a pris toute mon énergie et mon temps libre cette semaine... et ça ne va pas s'arranger jusqu'à début juillet. Du coup forcément mon temps de couture en a pâti. J'ai quand même réussi à refaire les pièces à appliquer pour la rose 😊
Les voilà prêtes à être cousues, j'espère avoir un peu de temps ce week-end.

Suite de ma veille des quilt alongs et autres blocs du mois proposés en ligne en 2026.
Cette semaine j'en ai repéré 3, dont National, un quilt along gratuit organisé par le Musée national des Amérindiens du Smithsonian, des blocs commémoratifs qui rendent hommage aux récits, aux points de vue et à l'histoire des peuples autochtones qui ont façonné les Etats-Unis.

This week I found three, including National, a free QAL hosted by Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian, featuring commemorative blocks that that honors Indigenous stories, perspectives, and histories that shape the United States.

Stats de la semaine écoulée, et projection pour la suivante :
🎯 Je garde le même objectif cette année : faire de la couture deux jours par semaine, au moins 15 minutes à chaque fois. Je participe ainsi à "Stitching Stuff", organisé par Kate. C’est un rythme qui me semble raisonnable et qui s’adapte bien à mon travail, aux entraînements sportifs et aux imprévus du quotidien.
Si j'en ai l'occasion, je ferais une liste de priorités à réaliser d'ici la semaine prochaine, et participer ainsi à "To Do Tuesday" organisé par Carol.

📍Quilt Rose : appliquer à la machine les petites pièces roses.
📍Mur de conception : vérifier que les épingles tiennent bien le tissu et décider s'il faut scotcher les bords de la polaire au dos (pas fait la semaine dernière...)
Past week's numbers and projections for the coming week:
🎯 I'm sticking with the same goal this year: sewing two days a week, for at least 15 minutes each time. I'm taking part in "Stitching Stuff" organized by Kate. It's a pace that seems reasonable to me and fits in well with my work, sports training, and the unexpected events of everyday life.
If I get the chance, I’ll make a list of priorities to tackle by next week, and that way take part in "To Do Tuesday" organized by Carol. 🚩⏩ This week I sewed ② days
Weekly to-do list:
📍Rose Quilt: Machine appliquéd the small pink pieces.

📍Design Wall: Check that the pins are holding the fabric securely and decide whether to tape the edges of the fleece to the backing (not done last week...)
