Holidays are great, but while, current projects are not going forward! Angela announced at the beginning of the month that orange scraps are used throughout August for the RSC (Rainbow Scrap Challenge). I cheated a little before leaving on vacation, but not enough to have three blocks of this color.
It's now done, and here they are!

I didn't sew much quilts in orange until now, but finally I like this color!

Thank you to all of you who came here during my holidays, now I'm back home, I will be able to visit you!

Your bird houses are all so cute. Orange is a difficult color to work with, but you've done a great job of mixing its different shades.

Orange birds, too? Did I miss the post where you share how the birds and birdhouses go in the quilt? Or are you making 2 different quilts?
I made some birds, but not with all the colors involved in this quilt. There will be only one quilt, a lot of birdhouses, et some birds ;) Still thinking about the layout...
Merci Pascalinette ! Je prend goût à l'orange aussi ;-)
Cute as always. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
I love those birdhouses - cute in every color! Thanks for the link to download the pattern, too.

Your birdhouses are darling. Orange is a color that I, too, have had to LEARN to love -- I like it best in small doses, mixed with cool or bland colors. Like a sprinkle of hot spices to perk up bland food. Your RSC quilt is coming together beautifully!

I’m thinking about trying it without paper piecing - improv sort of. Start with a hexie, add strips, trim willy nilly. Yours are beautiful! Great inspiration!
That's a great idea! Thank you for sharing your inspiration!
