Bonjour et bienvenue ici !
Good morning and welcome here!
✂️🧵👩🧵✂️
My strategy for the week to catch up since June. The Rainbow Scrap Challenge moved forward in colors, Angela assigned bright or dark blue in June, then purple in July and finally orange in August.
This strategy is simply chain piecing. I cut all the required fabrics, prepared all the pieces for each of the blocks, and started assembling them 2 by 2, all the colors in a row. Here are the heads.
Same thing with the arms.
But uh... there are some very small hands here, lost in the sleeves 😬. Hmm, I'll have to do something about that.

And I'm posting this Vahine again as a tribute to the Queen, who always wore colorful outfits.

Stats for the week:
🎯 My goal is to spend at least 3 evenings of the week in my studio, for at least 15 minutes of sewing each time.
🠞 The move out, the move in, and then the settlement into the new job, all of which made me stop sewing from week 27 in July, until last week, #35, in August.
Seven weeks without sewing, but a few weeks spent unpacking boxes of fabric and other quilting supplies, assembling tables and shelves, organizing everything in a new space, testing and moving tables again!
But ok, I'm not counting them in the stats, and I'm picking up where I left off, week 27.
🠞 This week #36, from Saturday, September 3 to Friday, September 9, I'm happy to have resumed sewing and in fact, to have increased my statistics!
I actually sewed for at least 15 minutes, 3 evenings during the week. So I count 3 days out of 7 as having met my goal, and week #36 as, in effect, successful. For a total of 21 successful weeks out of 36.

I like you sister's blocks and it sounds like you are busy setting into a new job and new place
RépondreSupprimerI never tire of your block choice for the RSC. Each jeune fille more precious than the last.
RépondreSupprimerOh those vahine blocks are so cute, well done Frédérique!
Bonne semaine. ;^)
RépondreSupprimerYour sisters are beautiful, and a lovely tribute to the queen! I saw a collage of her in her outfits all arranged in rainbow order - it was fun to see!
RépondreSupprimerYeah, definitely don't count the weeks you were moving. It's hard enough to move without adding other responsibilities on top of that.
RépondreSupprimerC'est simple, beau, coloré, graphique, clair. Bref, 100% réussite! :-)
Such colourful little vahinis and a lovely tribute to Queen Elizabeth. I live in New Zealand, one of the Commonwealth countries, and the Queen was our Head of State. We now welcome King Charles 3rd.
RépondreSupprimerI am very sad for England as they have lost a Wonderful and very beloved person. She was an Exceptional Woman
RépondreSupprimerDe biens jolies petites vahinés colorées!Bonne semaine.
RépondreSupprimerFrederique it’s good to hear you are settled in and sewing again. Those Susters blocks are too sweet. 😉
