Les couleurs réelles du quilt, surtout le jaune, sont entre les photos qui suivent : ni aussi doré, ni aussi pâle... Ta-da! Baby Bear is finished! The real colors of the quilt, especially the yellow, are between the following photos: neither as golden nor as pale... Je suis assez contente de la bande de finition bicolore. Comme l'a dit Kate, c'est plus long à faire, mais il n'y a pas de difficulté particulière. J'ai même réussi à faire des angles qui tombent juste ! I'm quite happy with the piped (flange) binding. As Kate said, it takes longer to do, but there's no particular difficulty. I even managed to get the corners right! Les bandes d'une même couleur sont cousues les unes à la suite des autres, et les deux longues bandes jaune et marron sont cousues ensemble. The binding advances. Strips of the same color are sewn one after the other, the two long yellow and brown strips are sewn together. J'en suis à replier délicatement la bande marron sur la jaune, et laisser cette petite marge marron dépasser. I'm now gently folding the brown strip over the yellow, and leaving this little brown margin sticking out. Ca avance doucement ! It's going slowly! Ensuite, il ne restera plus qu'à l'attacher au BB quilt. Then all that's left to do is attach it to the baby quilt. ⭐⭐🎂⭐⭐ Voilà pour ma couture de la semaine, ça avance lentement mais surement ! Merci pour vos suggestions pour mettre davantage de relief aux pattes et les détacher un peu plus du fond (polaire blanche sur tissu blanc pas tout à fait uni, ton sur ton). Baby Bear's quilting is finished! Thanks for your suggestions to give the paws more relief and make them stand out a little more from the background (white fleece on white fabric, not quite solid, tone on tone). J'ai fait un contour des pattes hexagonales avec du fil marron, mais je retiens l'idée des orteils pour un projet futur ! 😊  I sewed around the hexagonal paws with brown thread, but I'm keeping the toes idea in the back of my mind for a future project!  😊 Les bandes de finition sont en cours d'assemblage, j'ai bon espoir de les terminer aujourd'hui. Jardin de corail Dashing Australis Pour le moment ce sont de petits crochets fixés au mur par le système Command (scotch qui se retire sans laisser de trace), dans lesquels est glissée une baguette en bois. For the moment, these are small hooks fixed to the wall using the Command system (tape that can be removed without leaving a trace), into which a wooden rod is slid.

Bonjour, et bienvenue ici ! Hello, and welcome! ⭐⭐🔨⭐⭐ Cet été pendant les vacances, j'ai acheté les baguettes pour - enfin ! - accrocher mes quilts. Ce sont de fines baguettes de bois, mais quand même relativement peu souples pour ne pas ployer sous le poids des plus grands. During the summer vacations, I bought the rods to - at last! - hang my quilts. They are thin wooden sticks, but are not very flexible so they won't bend under the weight of the bigger ones. Elles font 1 mètre de long, et 8 mm de diamètre. Ma mission ce week-end va être de les poncer légèrement pour enlever les résidus de colle des étiquettes, et de plannifier leurs emplacements ! Pour la fixation au mur, j'ai prévu le système d'accroche Command. They are 39.5'' long and 1/4'' in diameter. This weekend, my assignment will be to sand them lightly to remove any residual glue from the labels and plan their locations! To fix them to the wall, I've planned the Command hanging system.
