Bouvreuil pivoine / Pink Bullfinch

Un (autre) oiseau rose :
A(nother) pink bird:

Patron de Regina Grewe, que j'ai légèrement modifié.
Pattern designed by Regina Grewe, I slightly modified it.

C'est un bouvreuil pivoine (Pyrrhula pyrrhula), un oiseau calme et timide, qui se nourrit principalement de graines et de bourgeons d'arbres fruitiers. Il consomme aussi des insectes et des baies.
He is an Eurasian Bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula), a quiet and shy bird, who feeds mainly on seeds and on buds of fruit trees. He also eat insects and berries.

Pyrrhula pyrrhula

"Le bouvreuil pivoine décline depuis des temps récents. Cela est dû à la destruction de son habitat avec la réduction des lisières de forêts et des haies. Les zones de nidifications et de nourrissage disparaissent.
L'usage des herbicides a également un impact important sur l'espèce".

"The Eurasian bullfinch declines since recent times. It is due to the destruction of his housing environment with the reduction of the borders of forests and hedges. The zones of nestings and feeding disappear.
The use of weed-killers also has an impact mattering on the species".

I love your birds and bird houses! I always wished I could have gone to France to visit Chopin's grave site. I am a Chopin! Have a great day!

What a pretty fellow the Bullfinch is AND your fabric, pieced birdie is gorgeous. Love the sight of all those bird houses sitting together. All the colours dance in merriment!
You made another neat little bird! I enjoyed knowing about the bird yours is based on, but sad to know their population has declined.
I love birds and try hard to keep my gardens very bird friendly with no pesticides and lots of natural food. Your block is beautiful. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!

I love seeing every new bird :) The whole problem with too much weed killers is really quite depressing, finding more and more about the extent of their damage.
