Le quilting en spirale est terminé : The spiral quilting is done: J'aime bien ! I like it! Grosse réflexion au moment de faire la bande de finition : bande marron ? bleue ? pas de bande ? Oui, ce sera cette option qui sera choisie, la finition en facing . J'ai utilisé le tuto de Terry Aske . Intense reflection once it's time to think about binding: brown binding? blue? no binding? Yes, I will choose this option, the facing finish . I used Terry Aske ’s tutorial. Les bandes sont cousues sur le devant, rabattues vers l'arrière et piquées au ras. Ça fait des bords bien nets une fois la bande repliée sur l'envers. The strips are sewn on the front, folded back and stitched very close to the edge. This creates sharp edges once the strip is folded on the back. Quelques points à la main sur l'envers. Some hand stitches on the back of the quilt. C'est net ! It's neat! Et voilà le quilt terminé ! Après une longue, très longue réflexion, j'ai décidé de quilter Véga. After a long, very long thought, I decided to quilt Vega. Ce sera un motif en spirale, ça fait un moment que j'en vois sur Internet, et j'aime bien le rendu. Et pour mon quilt tout en pointes, ce sera un bon motif pour arrondir et adoucir un peu tout ça. Je suis partie avec du fil gris bleuté en bobine, et blanc en canette puisque le tissu de dos est majoritairement blanc. It will be a spiral quilting design, I’ve been seeing it on the Internet for a while, and I like the effect. And for my quilt all in points, it will be a good pattern to round and soften it a little. I chose a blue grey thread in spool, and white in bobbin since the backing is mostly white. Réglage de la machine, je commence par des petits points : 1.5 au tout début pour le premier cercle puis 2.0 et 2.5 quand la spirale s'élargit. J'aime tout, absolument tout, sauf ça... I love everything, absolutely everything, except this... Quilt Celtique : vous voyez toutes ces épingles ? Celtic Quilt : you see all those pins? Le bâtissage ! J'adore faire toutes les étapes d'un quilt, de la réalisation du top, au quilting, même la bande de finition. Mais pas le bâtir. C'est une étape que je ne maîtrise pas complètement, du coup le résultat ne me convient pas toujours, et je suis frustrée de faire des plis pendant le quilting. Basting! I love doing all the steps of a quilt, from making the quilt top, to quilting, even the binding. But not basting. Voilà les projets en cours : Here are my WIP: Pour ce mois-ci, j'ai décidé de reprendre Véga, le quilt mystère de France Patchwork... de 2010. For this month, I decided to focus on Véga, the Mystery Quilt by France Patchwork... 2010. Une amie et moi en 2010, à Tahiti A friend and I, back in 2010, Tahiti Je l'ai effectivement commencé en 2010, et fait toute la partie centrale, le quilt mystère en fait. Pour voir les différentes étapes, et quelques photos de Tahiti où il a été fait,  c'est ici  ! I actually started it in 2010, and did the whole central part, the mystery quilt itself. To see the different stages, and some pictures of Tahiti where it was made,  it's here ! Je l'ai ensuite repris l'an dernier pour lui ajouter des bordures, et maintenant il est temps de le quilter. Ce sera mon objectif pour novembre. I then took it back last year to add borders, and now it’s time to quilt it. It's going to be my One Monthly
