My entry for the festival is Dashing, a French quilt along based on a Corey Yoder pattern. It's paper pieced and quilted by machine, with a fun scrappy binding! Pour une 1ère visite au Carrefour Européen du Patchwork à Ste-Marie-aux-Mines, je n'ai pas été déçue ! It was my very first visit to the European Meeting Patchwork, to Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines (France), and I'm not disappointed! Que du bonheur : de belles rencontres notamment sur le stand France Patchwork (je vous en dirais plus plus tard !) à Lièpvre I'm so happy: beautiful meetings particularly on the France Patchwork place (I would tell more later!), in Lièpvre (France) Mais aussi de très belles expositions. En septembre, les oiseaux nichent dans du bleu foncé : During September, birds are sleeping in dark blue houses: Bienvenue à bord, lumière un peu vive, mais plus orangée que jaune. La photo ne rend pas bien la couleur du centre. Welcome onboard! Bright light, but not as yellow as it seems, it's more orange. Comme je l'annonçais en début de mois, j'ai commencé des coeurs. Rouges et roses. As I mentionned it before, I started sewing hearts. Red and pink. Les "grands" font 10 cm, les petits 6 cm. "Big" ones are 4'', small ones 2.5''. A suivre ! More later! Un bloc bleu profond comme l'océan. Ça donne envie de se baigner, non ?! A block deep blue like the ocean.  That tempts to go for a swim, no?! La lumière est allumée, bienvenue ! The light is on, welcome! Ce mois-ci, la couleur annoncée par Angela de Soscrappy  pour le Rainbow Scrap Challenge est le bleu foncé, et on peut mixer avec d'autres tissus sombres. Il se trouve que j'ai pas mal de bleu dans mon stock de chutes de tissus, donc juste du bleu foncé ça ira ! This month, the color announced by Angela from Soscrappy for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge is dark blues and/or dark neutrals. I have lot of blue fabrics in my scrappy stash, so only dark blue color for this one! Mises à part la rentrée, et les bonnes résolutions de l'année (mieux s'organiser, travailler plus efficacement, apprendre à dire non à certains projets, etc.), voici mes autres objectifs pour ce mois de septembre : Set apart back to school, the good resolutions of the year (getting better organized, working more effectively, learning to say no to certain projects, etc.), here are my other goals for this September: Petit bloc coeur Small heart block Mini coeur Mini heart J'ai commencé des petits coeurs (10 cm) et des minis (6 cm) et j'aimerais en faire respectivement 15 et 7 ce mois . I started sewing small hearts blocks (4'') and mini blocks (2.5''), and I plan to make 15 small and 7 minis this month. Et puis continuer le Rainbow Scrap Challenge aussi, 3 blocs nichoirs (et peut-être 1 ou 2 oiseaux ?) de la couleur du mois.
