Quilting Patchwork Appliqué

Comme pour la Geisha A, j'ai tracé la silhouette de la Geisha B sur le tissu de fondation. Par contre celle-ci n'est pas construite comme la A, qui avait des blocs si bien définis. La Geisha B est moins facilement fractionnable. J'ai commencé par assembler les pièces du bas du kimono et la ceinture les unes aux autres, puis je les ai appliquées sur le tissu de fondation. As for the Geisha A, I draw the outline of the Geisha B on the foundation. But this one is not built like the other one, A, which had so definite blocks. The Geisha B is less easily fractionable. I start to join patches of the kimono's bottom and the belt one by one, then appliquéd them onto the foundation.

Pour finir, les mains sont appliquées, ainsi que la tige du futur bouquet de fleurs. Geisha A est maintenant presque achevée, il ne reste plus que les embellissements avant de terminer le panneau. At last, hands are appliquéd, also with the stem of the future flowers. Geisha A is now nearly achieved, there are only embellishments left, before finishing the panel.

La manche droite, tombante, est une grande pièce à appliquer : The right sleeve, falling, is a big piece to applique. La Geisha prend vie lentement ! J'adore ce tissu rouge en paysage. The Geisha is coming to life slowly! I really love this red landscape fabric.
